I took my Larrivee back to Jeff at Guitar Center and he adjusted the neck. Now my action is much better. He said someone must have set it up for bluegrass picking, wanting high action. There may even be shims below the bridge. I'll check that out as well but it plays much better than before.
Also the $100 computer recording system is up and running quite well. Using a boundary mike up close for guitar, and a second vocal mike. I recorded my dog Sniff barking, looped it, then layered an instrumental called 'Laughing Dog Blues' over it. The result was high hilarity!
