My guitar: It's a Larrivee D-02, very light tan Honduran mahogony back and sides, spruce top, all solid wood (no laminates). Clear tight bass, sparkly treble, brassy midrange. I'll be posting some clips soon.

Close to getting the Larrivee. I found a great deal on a computer, $100!!! A guy at work was upgrading so he sold me an e-machine Celeron for a hundred. Neat, huh. That's half my Christmas, now for the dreadnaught...
I'll be purchasing a Larrivee D-02 in a couple of weeks. Next I'll be getting either an 8 track hard drive recorder or a Dell desktop with Sonar and I'll be set. That's my wish list right now. In the meantime I've been playing a Birchwood Martin at Galaxy ($1295) which has stolen my heart. If I were suddenly rich (or even solvent) I'd choose that one even over the Tony Rice Santa Cruz even though it's more than half the price. The tone is equal and the volume is superior to the Cruz. This Martin booms!
